His job has been to recruit and establish the first chapter of Sigma Tau on campus this semester. Zack Kearney is a representative from the national chapter of Sigma Tau. The goal is to try to eliminate stereotypical culture norms that surround Greek Life at many colleges. The goal of this new fraternity is to create a culture that is focused mainly on serving the community, kindness, and growing together with their fellow brothers. Their vision is to build generations of noble men who always endeavor forward and their philanthropic cause is the Special Olympics. Sigma Tau hopes to foster brotherhood through service. The fraternity is looking for “noble men” who will help foster a new culture around fraternity life, centered around the values of learning, integrity, excellence, leadership, citizenship and brotherhood.Īccording to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Towson University currently has 25 recognized fraternities and sororities on campus encompassing a variety of philanthropies and values.
